i have a Surface tablet running windows 10, and want to use my apple superdrive on it. it needs a driver, but i don't know which one when i go to the apple support downloads to use - is there one?

AppleODDInstaller.exe (32-bit) or AppleODDInstaller64.exe (64-bit) is the driver for Windows. You can get it from Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621 and Download Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5769. Do not use any other drivers from the package, unless you have additional Apple hardware.
The driver is for use on a Surface, not a Boot Camped Windows system as I understood.
Apple does not make a driver for use on a Windows system. You need a Windows driver that will work with the drive mechanism in the SuperDrive - usually a Matsusita or Panasonic mechanism.
Contact Microsoft, too, for help with a driver.
It works on any Windows machine to support an Apple Super Drive. I use it on a Dell laptop which has no built in Optical drive.

Just run AppleODDInstaller64.exe.
You may need to de-archive all the files, but you only need run the 64-bit .exe executable as Loner T has indicated.
